(tour campus, services & Dinner with Hillel) [Dress nice casual note: some U of Penn Students will dress in suits / dresses and others will wear nice jeans / pants and a sweater or button-down]
 9:00 pm Hotel, Snack & Bed (possible swimming at the hotel)

 8:00 am Wakeup and Breakfast
 9:00 am Services at hotel
 10:00 am American Jewish History Museum
 1:00 pm Lunch
 2:00 pm Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Free Time (Shopping)
 6:00 pm Dinner (TBA)
 7:15 pm Havdalah
 8:00 pm Evening Activity (Ice Skating at Blue Cross River Rink or Chilling at Hotel)
 10:00 pm Hotel, snack & Bed (possible swimming at the hotel)

    We just arrived at UPenn, and we are looking forward to the trip. The bus ride was slow because of traffic, and we watched NATIONAL TREASURE.

    Campus Tour
    UPenn’s campus was larger than expected. Although the actual college is very old, it is full of modern art. Two of the sculptures that stood out to us was a giant replica of a cracked button and an abstract red arch. There was also a statue of Benjamin Franklin. We learned that The Adam’s Family creepy house was based on one of the on campus buildings called the Adam’s House.

    Shabbat Services with Kesher Students at U of Penn
    Services were great! We all sang prayers and together rejoiced in the spirit of the Shabbat. Though the singing wasn’t perfectly in tune, it was the spiritual aspect that mattered. The college kids were really friendly, and it was incredible to see them working together to run their own service. Afterwards, the students talked about U of Penn and all of the different activities that college students can partake in. It was really cool. I can’t wait to go to college! Go JTV! This trip is great thus far.

    Shabbat Oneg with U Penn Kesher Students
    The dinner with the Hillel was a great experience. It was great to see Jewish college students joining together to celebrate the Sabbath. It makes us feel good to know that when we go to college we can still keep in touch with our religion. We will always remember this experience and the Kesher students who took the time to speak with us.

    The students had some very interesting things to say. One thing that stood out was that they still stayed active in Judaism even though nobody forced them to do so. This trip has been lots of fun so far.

    Back at the Hotel
    Tonight was awesome!!! The Hotel is great! The teens went in the pool and everyone had a blast. The best part was when one of the kids did a belly flop and pretended that he does it all the time. All together we are having fun fun fun and can’t wait for tomorrow… Adam (Staff)
